The first class I took in our district school of ministry in Arkansas was hermeneutics, taught by a wonderful professor, Dr. LeRoy Bartel from Nelson University. After a class like that, which teaches proper principles of biblical interpretation (context, context, context!), you hope that you'll see it in practice. It ruined me for listening to sermons, because now my Spidey sense goes off whenever someone doesn't follow what I learned in that class.
